| While Jack was not my first cattle dog, he was certainly my most life changing one. As a puppy and through his life, he challenged me every step of the way. He was a tough dog in every sense of the word. There is a current country song out now that describes him to a T. He was not only built well but had a “heart like a truck.” I had originally searched him out as an agility prospect but the first weekend out in the conformation ring he was Best of Winners and I was hooked.
Jack brought me to places I had only dreamed of. Multiple years in AKC Top 3, Multiple Group Winning, Best in Specialty Show, Multiple Awards of Merit and Excellence. He was full of shenanigans, never knowing what he would do next, but always with the same gleam in his eye. In addition to AKC, he also made headlines in UKC. Multiple Best in Multibreed Show winner, Ranked Number 1 for multiple years, one of the first Total Dogs. He had so many wins and so many accolades. Jack certainly had a fan club. People would ask for him where ever I went. After he passed, folks would share their favorite Jack memory. He was well within the standard but was a giant in the breed. |
